Police released information on the wanted youth after obtaining court clearance.
Winnipeg police are looking for 15-year-old Gavin Elvis Bone in connection with a series of attacks in the Point Douglas neighborhood of Winnipeg on Monday morning and two homicides, police say Friday afternoon.
Police say they have obtained judicial permission to identify Mr Bone despite the fact that he is a teenager.
Under normal circumstances, the Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the public disclosure of the identity of a young suspect without judicial authorization.
Gavin Elvis Bone is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches (1.67 m) tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kg). He bears a significant scar on his left cheek, police said in a press release.
Police consider the youth to be armed and dangerous and urge the public not to get involved. Approach him if spotted.
Another 15-year-old involved in the tragedy was arrested by police on Wednesday.
The two youths are charged with the second degree murder of Marvin William, 54, and Danielle Dawn Ballantyne, 36.
The body of Danielle Dawn Ballantyne was found in a Point Douglas apartment building on Monday morning.
Marvin William Felix, 54, was assaulted around 5 a.m. Monday on Main Street between Logan Avenue and Higgins Avenue. He died Thursday, according to police.
In the wake of the attacks on Dawn Ballantyne and Marvin William Felix, two other similar incidents were recorded Monday morning a few minutes apart and in the same area, but the police are unable to say at this time whether they are connected to the youths.
The investigation into this series of attacks is ongoing, but other suspects may be involved, the police spokeswoman said. Winnipeg, Dani McKinnon.
We are shaken by these incidents. It is shocking that two homicides have been committed by two young people for reasons completely unknown at this time, she was also outraged.
