22-year-old man shot and injured in downtown Halifax

Halifax Regional Police are currently investigating.

An early Sunday morning shooting injured one person in downtown Halifax, New -Scotland.

Authorities attended Argyle Street around 3:30 a.m. where they found a 22-year-old man who had been shot in the lower torso.

< p class="e-p">He was taken to hospital, but authorities do not fear for his life.

A stretch of Sackville Street between Argyle and Grafton streets was closed for a while after the incident.

Halifax Regional Police are continuing their investigation.
