6 ans and 3 months in prison for Patrick Chénard

Found guilty of sexual assault, the former massage therapist and kinesiologist from Rimouski Patrick Chénard received a sentence of 6 years and 3 months in prison.

This is a term of imprisonment harsher than that recommended by the Crown during sentencing submissions last May.

Patrick Chénard will also be placed on the sex offender registry.

At sentencing, Friday morning at the Rimouski courthouse , Judge Jules Berthelot highlighted several aggravating factors in Patrick Chénard's case, in particular that he had assaulted 10 victims, some of whom were minors, who will live with the consequences of his actions in the long term. /p>

Patrick Chénard was arrested in June 2018. He was convicted of sexually assaulting 10 women last January.
