In Moscow, near the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a Russian tricolor was hung out with the inscription “Today is not my day.” The red paint from the flag “flows” down, symbolizing blood. The action on the Day of Russia on June 12 was organized by a group of anonymous artists, Radio Liberty reports.

– Today is simply not our day. Our Independence Day, which we will certainly celebrate soon enough, will become a day of independence from imperial ambitions, – the organizers of the action say in a message.

An action was also held in Kyiv on Russia Day. A funeral wreath, several crosses were placed near the non-functioning embassy of the Russian Federation, and the bullets that were used to kill Ukrainian citizens were “returned”. Citizens of the Russian Federation and political migrants took part in the action “The Last Day of Russia”. One of them came in an embroidered shirt and burned his Russian passport.
