A worker suspended dozens of meters above Toronto

The man was suspended by his arms from a cable connected to a load which was handled by a crane.

A man was left hanging dozens of feet above a construction site in downtown Toronto on Tuesday. A person in an adjacent building captured the scene and uploaded it to social media.

Fortunately, the man did not suffered serious injuries, according to the contractor.

We can confirm that an incident has occurred at our site located [near the intersection of] Front and Simcoe Streets [Tuesday] , involving a worker who became entangled in a cable after hooking up a load. Fortunately, he made it to the work surface safely and was not seriously injured. The safety of all workers and the community is our top priority. We are working with all relevant authorities and the incident is currently under investigation, read an email from Liisa Morley, spokesperson for PCL Constructors Canada Inc.
