Air defense forces shot down 47 missiles out of 55 launched by the Russian Federation. For the first time since August, the invaders used “Daggers”

On Thursday, January 26, Russia fired 55 air and sea-based missiles into Ukraine. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

According to him, the enemy attacked with Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-47 “Dagger”, “Caliber”, Kh-59 missiles. For missile launches, Tu-95, Su-35, MiG-31K aircraft, as well as ships in the Black Sea were used.

Zaluzhny stressed that the air defense forces managed to destroy 47 Russian missiles, while 20 of them were destroyed in the Kyiv region. Three of the four Kh-59 guided air missiles did not reach their targets.

It should be noted that the invaders used «Daggers» for the first time since August 2022. The last time this type of missile was used to shell military facilities in the Vinnitsa region on August 7.
