American processors found in Iranian drones

Iranian drones Shahed-131 were found processors manufactured by the American company Texas Instruments. This was reported by the Department of Strategic Communications of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Office has published a document confirming that Iranian drones contain American components.

Defense Express notes that Shahed-131 is a pre-release version of Shahed-136. It is these drones that have attacked Odessa and Mykolaiv regions in recent days.

Both versions of these Iranian drones have the same principle of operation, and, probably, they are unified in their component, primarily in electronics.

< p>Documents released by the APU indicate that the FCU (flight control unit) contained five custom-made printed circuit boards (PCBs). These boards are equipped with TMS320 F28335 processors from the American company Texas Instruments.

This company also develops products for the defense sector, however, these processors are freely sold on the market.

In addition, the ECU (control unit engine) contained one printed circuit board with a Texas Instruments processor. According to experts, this module will control all the characteristics of the engine during the flight.
