
An armed assault under investigation in Victoriaville
The 36-year-old man was arrested by MRC police officers in 'Arthabaska.
A man armed with what could be a pellet gun threatened five people, causing minor injuries to some of them, Saturday evening in Victoriaville.
The 36-year-old man was walking on Notre-Dame Est street while unloading lead projectiles, indicates the Sûreté du Québec. According to witnesses, he was holding a weapon resembling a pistol in his hands.
Called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Arthabaska arrested the man. He could face charges of assault with a weapon and making threats.
His weapon has been seized and will be subject to analysis, following which other charges could be laid .
