
Arestovich and Podolyak – about the attack from Belarus: When you need to be afraid – let's say
Advisors to the head of the President's Office Alexei Arestovich and Mikhail Podolyak recorded a video on the possible attacks on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. Arestovich said that “in the near future” there is no need to be afraid of this. – I can tell you that there will be no attack from Belarus in the near future. You don't need to be afraid. When it is necessary to be afraid of an attack from Belarus, we will definitely tell, – he said in a video published on Monday afternoon. Podolyak advised “not to listen to prominent experts who know everything for sure.”
On the air of the telethon in the morning, military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that the Kremlin can set two key tasks for Minsk: open a second front in Ukraine and prevent the supply of Western weapons. At the same time, he is sure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will fight right at the border. Zhdanov noted that Belarusian troops are now concentrated mainly in the Brest region. Therefore, a possible attack may occur on the Volyn and Rivne regions.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus on Monday reported that foreign attachés visited the areas of implementation of the “reinforcement of sections of the State border” in the Maloritsky district of the Brest region, which borders on the Volyn region. They are carried out by the Belarusian military together with the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the border service. A set of measures aimed at “countering possible threats” is being worked out. Units work on a rotational basis. Important objects, including roads and overpasses, have been taken under protection.
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Aleksey Danilov said that today Ukraine does not see the threat of an attack from the territory of Belarus, because there are not enough forces and means there. At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed to check four regions in case of invasion from Belarus.
