The Ukrainian army was able to advance 1.5 km near the village of Dibrova, Luhansk region, which is located west of the city of Kremennaya. Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this at a briefing.

He also said that Russian troops are trying to break through the defense of Ukrainians near the village of Verkhnekamenskoye in the Donetsk region in order to bypass the village of Belogorovka in the Luhansk region and force out Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to Gromov, the successes of the Ukrainian army forced the Russian General Staff to change their plans for a war in Ukraine.

«In the near future, the main efforts of the enemy will be concentrated on the fulfillment of a strategic task to establish full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions», — he stressed.

  • According to media reports, Putin personally canceled the final press conference, fearing a surprise attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
