AstraZeneca vaccine without booking, the Open weekend kicks off in Sicily today: who is entitled to, where to go and the times

The long weekend dedicated to the vaccination of people aged 60 to 79 (which do not present fragility) with Astrazeneca, without reservation. There are 66 hubs and vaccination centers available. The “Open weekend”, as it was called, starts with a provision by the regional president Nello Musumeci to further accelerate the vaccination campaign on the island.

LIST OF VACCINATION CENTERS IN SICILY WITH TIMETABLE FROM 16 TO 18 APRIL 2021

The vaccine administered, we recall, will be that of Astrazeneca, of which at the moment there is the largest number of doses available. A very important test bed in Sicily since there are about 100 thousand serums that can be administered and in the last few days the reservations to receive the Astrazeneca have decreased.

All users – let the Region know – will be able to count on a careful medical evaluation before immunization, to understand if there are contraindications based on particular health problems.

For all citizens who cannot go to the vaccination points within three days, the possibility of booking vaccination from the Costruiresalute.it and S iciliacoronavirus.it portal is already ensured. It will be necessary to present themselves at the vaccination centers and hubs with a health card and it will be necessary to fill in the necessary forms before vaccination. The modules can be downloaded from Costruiresalute.it and Sicili acoronavirus.it.

These are the Centers available by province: Agrigento 11; Caltanissetta 2; Catania 9; Enna 4; Messina 5; Palermo 16; Ragusa 3; Syracuse 7; Drills 9.

The governor, Nello Musumeci, hopes for the success of the initiative that would give new impetus to a vaccination campaign that has not yet fully taken off due to delays in the delivery of vaccines, the controversy over Astrazeneca and the temporary stop of Johnson & Johnson which is awaiting new evaluations by the competent bodies.
