Vladimir Zelensky met with Ben Stiller. Images from the Office of the President were published on Monday evening by the head of state on his Instagram.

– Ukrainians feel the support of the whole world, many famous people. And the visit of Ben Stiller once again confirms this. Your trip to Irpen and Makarov, meetings with our people speak volumes. We appreciate that you are there at this difficult time for our country,” Zelensky wrote.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ukrainian leader and the famous American actor exchanged courtesies. Zelensky noted that Stiller is well known in Ukraine, the actor, in turn, called the president his hero and noted his acting career. “Not the same as yours,” the head of state joked.

The President noted that it is important to tell the world about the war in Ukraine every day. The meeting was attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.

– It's one thing to see this destruction on TV or in social networks. Another thing is to see it all with your own eyes. This is much more impressive,” the Hollywood actor was quoted on the President’s website.

– What you saw in Irpen is definitely scary. But it’s even scarier just to imagine what is happening in the settlements that are under temporary occupation in the east,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President and the UN Goodwill Ambassador discussed the needs of internally displaced persons and refugees in Poland. Separately, Zelensky focused on the violation of the rights of Ukrainians forcibly deported to Russia, including children.

Ben Stiller came to Ukraine as a UN Goodwill Ambassador on the occasion of World Refugee Day. First, he met with Ukrainians in Poland, then visited Lvov, as well as Irpen and Makarov in the Kyiv region. The actor was also noticed at the Central Department Store on Khreshchatyk. At the end of April, Angelina Jolie, an American actress and UN refugee ambassador, visited Lviv.
