British intelligence told why Putin came to the headquarters of the occupying army

< p>Visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the headquarters of the so-called «special military operation» December 16 was supposed to show collective responsibility for the failures in the war with Ukraine. This is stated in the intelligence report of the British Ministry of Defense.

During his visit, the Russian dictator met with a number of high-ranking military officers, including Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. He demanded proposals for further steps in the war against Ukraine.

Intelligence notes that at this staged meeting, Putin likely intended to demonstrate collective responsibility for conducting a «special military operation». In particular, such a move was aimed at removing Putin's responsibility for military failures, a high death rate and growing dissatisfaction with the mobilization of the population.

It is also possible that Gerasimov was specially shown on video, thereby dispelling rumors about his resignation.
