British intelligence: Ukrainian defense of Bakhmut under heavy pressure, two key bridges destroyed
The Ukrainian defense of the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region is under increasing pressure, with intense fighting going on in the city and its environs. This is stated in the British daily intelligence report.
«Regular Russian army and PMC forces «Wagner» moved further into the northern suburbs of the city, which is now a Ukrainian-held frontier vulnerable to Russian attack from three sides», — The report says.
Ukraine is noted to be reinforcing the area with elite units, and two key bridges in Bakhmut have been destroyed in the past 36 hours, including a vital bridge connecting the city to the last major supply route from Bakhmut to the city of Chasov Yar.
