Brossard man arrested and charged with kidnapping Elnaz Hajtamiri

Mohammed Lilo, 35, was arrested on the south shore of Montreal on Tuesday.

A Brossard man has been arrested and charged with the kidnapping of Elnaz Hajtamiri. She has been missing since January 12.

Mohammed Lilo, 35, faces kidnapping charges in connection with the January 12 incident , reads a statement released by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Ms. Hajtamiri, 37 and also known as Elnaz Tamiri, was abducted in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Police say three suspects dressed in police uniforms abducted her in a white Lexus RX sport utility vehicle.

Elnaz Hajtamiri, 37, was abducted on January 12 from a residence in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, by three men posing as police officers.

Earlier this year, officers arrested a suspect and issued a warrant for the arrest of a second man in connection with this story.

However, Mr. Lilo also faces charges of attempted kidnapping and attempted murder in connection with another alleged attack on Ms. Hajtamiri. This would have taken place in December 2021 when, according to the police, she was hit with a frying pan in an underground parking lot.

The accused must appear before the court on Wednesday.
