Law enforcement has been deployed downtown since protesters converged on the capital on Canada Day a few days ago.

Several of these people had participated in the truck convoy earlier this year and the Rolling Thunder protest in April. A motor vehicle screening zone was set up downtown ahead of July 1 to mitigate the effects of their presence in Ottawa.

Four people were arrested Thursday evening at the end of muscular arrests. Friday's protests were conducted in a controlled manner.
