Castro Marte believes that the measure is contradictory after the Ministry of Public Health announced the intervention of the La Altagracia province
Bishop Jesús Castro Marte expressed through his Twitter account this Wednesday that the Government gives the impression that it has no “defined strategy” to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Castro Marte's statements come after the resolution of the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) ordering state institutions to summon 100% of their employees to return to their normal hours.
“The MAP's decision to summon all public employees to join their respective jobs is contradictory to the Government's strategy to counteract the spread of Covid-19,” posted the also rector of the Catholic University of Santo Domingo.
Castro Marte believes that the measure is contradictory after the Ministry of Public Health announced the intervention of La Altagracia province.
“The Altagracia Province and other localities have been intervened due to Covid-19 outbreaks, but the MAP seems to forget that the problem has not yet disappeared, giving the impression that there is no defined strategy to combat the coronavirus from the central Government” added the bishop.
