
Commanders of the Air Forces of Ukraine and the United States discussed the possible supply of F-16 fighters
Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, discussed with the Commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa, General James Hecker, the issue of strengthening the capabilities of Ukraine's air defense system. This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command.
Oleshchuk told his American colleague about the 365 days of the battle for the Ukrainian sky, and also reported on the current situation at the front.
The parties discussed some issues air defense organization of Ukraine and promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the supply of military equipment, weapons and ammunition within the framework of international technical assistance to Ukraine.
Oleshchuk specified that he managed to discuss with Hecker the issues of strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense system in the context of a possible providing the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with multipurpose aircraft F-16.
