In the last 24 hours, 16,974 positive cases of coronavirus and 380 deaths due to COVID-19 have been detected in Italy. Currently there are 29,004 patients (855 fewer than yesterday), of which 3,417 in the intensive care units (73 fewer than yesterday) and 25,587 in the other departments (782 fewer than yesterday). 186,053 molecular swabs and 133,580 antigenic rapid tests were analyzed. The percentage of positive molecular swabs was 8.7 percent, while that of antigen tests was 0.5 percent. On Wednesday, 16,168 infections were recorded and 469 died.

The regions that have recorded more cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (2,722), Campania (2,224), Puglia (1,867), Sicily (1,450), Lazio (1,330).
