Fighting for Bakhmut is taking place on the outskirts and some streets of the city, but Ukrainian forces are destroying a huge number of invaders there, which will have a tangible effect in the near future. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov on the air of the telethon.
«Yesterday was perhaps one of the longest meetings of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander. For almost three hours we dealt with the situation regarding Bakhmut and other issues on other sectors of the front,” Danilov said.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that fighting was already underway on the outskirts of Bakhmut, as well as «in some places» on the streets of the city. However, he clarified that the Ukrainian fighters continue to hold the line.
