Defense Ministry: Ukraine received only 10% of weapons requested from the West
About 10% of the total declared amount of weapons Ukraine received from Western countries. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon. – No matter how much effort Ukraine makes, we will not be able to win the war without the help of the West. We received only 10 percent of what Ukraine stated, of what we need, – Malyar said. As the official noted, the Russian side has more opportunities both in terms of the number of military and weapons. p> – One must be aware that the possibilities for armament and the number of military personnel in Russia significantly prevail. Ukraine spends about 5-6 thousand artillery shells per day, and Russia ten times more, she stressed. In this regard, the representative of the Ministry of Defense called on Western allies not only to increase the volume of military assistance, but also speed up the process of supplying new weapons to Ukraine. On the eve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 22 M109 self-propelled howitzers from Norway, including spare parts, ammunition and other equipment. Also, the Pentagon confirmed that they plan to supply our country with HIMARS MLRS and other weapons. According to Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, to end the war, Ukraine needs 1,000 155-mm howitzers, 300 MLRS, 500 tanks, 2,000 armored vehicles and 1,000 drones.
