First Lady Elena Zelenskaya said that she now manages to see Vladimir Zelensky, but rarely and not for long. The wife of the Ukrainian president believes that their relationship has been put on hold because of the war, like many other families. Zelenskaya spoke about this in an interview with the American television channel CNN. – Fortunately, those two months that my husband and I did not see each other at all have passed. Now I can see him at least sometimes in short episodes and not very often. But I can at least physically know that he is there. This cannot be called normal family relations – children do not see their father and communicate with him only by phone. That is, our relations, one might say, are now on pause, like all Ukrainians. Half of our families are not together. We, like all other families, are waiting for victory. So that we can spend evenings together again, have dinner with the children,” Olena Zelenskaya said. The youngest son of the Zelenskys, 9-year-old Kirill, is interested in military affairs and knows about the types of weapons used by Ukraine. – Little can be hidden from our children now, and I do not hide it. They live in the same information space as I do. He, like a boy, is interested in all military affairs now, he is watching our actions, he is waiting for new batches of weapons, like all Ukrainians. He knows about everything, about all kinds of tools that we use. On the one hand, this is such a boyish dream about a hero, and on the other hand, I am very sad that my child is growing up in such conditions. All of us, Ukrainians, raised children not for war, but for peace,” Olena Zelenska said. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky has been in his office in Kyiv without his wife and children.
