Elena Zelenskaya received the ShEO Awards 2022 from the authoritative Polish publication Wprost. The First Lady was honored in the Peace in the World nomination.

The award for the President's wife was received by Oleg Kuts, Counselor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland. The guests of the social event were shown a three-minute video address by Zelenskaya. The First Lady announced that she was dedicating the award to Ukrainian women and women in Europe who came to their aid.

– They say that no one knows his strength until trials come. I'm sure no woman wanted to test her strength in such a terrible way – in war, competing for peace, she said.

The President's wife noted Svetlana Klimenko, who did not leave the hospital for 40 days, helping residents of Ivankov's hometown. Oleksandr Kuvshinov, who was reporting from the occupied Kiev region. Four-year-old Alisa from Mariupol, whose mother was taken off the evacuation train and captured by Russian invaders.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland noted that this ShEO Awards is one of the most prestigious Polish awards for women. It is given to representatives of politics, culture, business and science.

The second Ukrainian woman to receive the award was Natalia Panchenko, a graduate of the Poltava State Agrarian University, who has been living in Poland for several years.

Panchenko became “Activist of the Year” and received the statuette personally. She is the leader of the Euromaidan-Warsaw organization. In March, the activist organized a blockade of trucks on the border between Poland and Belarus, which imported goods to Russia, and in May, a thanksgiving march and a concert that gathered about 20 thousand people.

Athlete of the year was a 21-year-old Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek. On June 4, she won the Roland Garros. At the award ceremony, Swiatek made a speech in support of Ukraine.
