In the evening of March 1, residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea heard explosions in Yalta, Gurzuf and Bakhchisarai. This was reported by the Telegram channel «Crimean wind».
“A loud explosion has just been heard in Yalta, Gurzuf and other settlements of the South Coast. … Everything around was shaking, furniture and windows, car alarms went off in the area. There are sounds of flying aircraft in the background,” the message says.
The explosion was also heard in other settlements on the southern coast of Crimea.
The occupying authorities commented on the loud noises. Thus, an adviser to the Russian-controlled «heads» Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov said: «Everyone should understand that we live in a different reality where aircraft are switching to supersonic, air defense and electronic warfare are working».
