France transferred anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine to protect the sky

France handed over to Ukraine two Crotale anti-aircraft missile systems to protect the sky from attacks by Russian invaders and two multiple launch rocket systems. This was announced by French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche, writes BFMTV.

According to him, France has already sent 18 Caesar self-propelled guns, Milan and Mistral missiles, about 60 VAB armored vehicles, anti-tank mines to Ukraine HDP-2A2, nuclear, biological or chemical attack defenses and night vision devices.

The minister said that the Ukrainian army is asking for radars. This request is «pending».

France will also join the military equipment service center for Ukraine in Slovakia. They will work with PzH 2000 howitzers, Caesar self-propelled guns, Gepard tanks and Dingo armored vehicles.

In addition, the French parliament voted for a support fund for Ukraine in the amount of 200 million euros. The country will also train the Ukrainian military.

“Our task is to start by training 2,000 people out of 15,000 proposed by the European Union. 400 Ukrainian military have already been trained, in particular, on the equipment that we supply,” Lecornu said.
