Brigadier General of the Bundeswehr Christian Freuding said that the defense struggle of Ukrainians today is in a difficult phase. He said this in an interview with dpa, Spiegel reports.
According to him, Ukraine needs a military rotation, and the Russian leadership is learning from its own mistakes.
« We also know that the Ukrainians are no longer able to replenish their units only with volunteers, but specifically recruit reservists of various ranks. This indicates that they are now under pressure» , Freiding said.
The General emphasized that Western tanks and armored vehicles will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine create a local advantage at the front and achieve success both in defense and in attack.
«On the other hand, broad promotion is difficult. The front line has a length of 1200 kilometers. However, the Ukrainians have proven that tactically they can be very dexterous,” the military leader said.
