Germany will hand over rocket launchers to Ukraine, while Poland and Canada will hand over heavy artillery

In the near future, a number of countries plan to hand over weapons to Ukraine to defend against Russian invasion. Some states have committed themselves to train the Ukrainian military. This was stated by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during a press conference following the meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine in Brussels, writes “European Truth”.

– We heard several significant announcements today about new assistance packages in security sphere for Ukraine. Many countries are providing Ukraine with badly needed systems and munitions. Other friends have made new commitments to train the Ukrainian military and support its military system, Austin said.

President Joe Biden announced that the United States will send Ukraine a new $1 billion military aid package. According to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the package will include:

18 155mm howitzers;
36,000 155mm projectiles;
18 tactical howitzer transport vehicles;
additional shells for HIMARS;
4 vehicles for repairing equipment;
two Coast Guard systems with Harpoon missiles;
thousands of protected radio stations;
thousands of optical devices, including night vision.

The Slovak authorities have announced the transfer of Mi series helicopters of the necessary rocket ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, many countries, including Canada, Poland and the Netherlands, have promised to send artillery weapons to our country to fire at a great distance. Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced the transfer of three MARS-II multiple launch rocket systems to Kyiv.
