Ground Forces showed how Kyiv is being fortified | A PHOTO
The Kyiv Defense Forces continue to strengthen the defensive lines of the capital and the Kyiv region. The results of the relevant work were shown by the Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Oleksandr Pavlyuk.
According to him, the installation of long-term fortifications at the strongholds of units from the group of forces and means of defense of Kyiv continues. Engineering work is carried out in cooperation with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
At the same time, the installation and arrangement of firing structures on possible enemy advancement routes, as well as the process of equipping shelters to protect personnel, continues.
«For this, reinforced concrete structures are used, which are installed below the surface level soil – in order to maximize the preservation of the lives of military personnel. After further arrangement, facilities of this type will allow the most efficient and safe organization of the work of command and observation posts, as well as platoon and company strongholds», – said Pavlyuk.
