The people of Kiev saw off their countryman, activist Roman Ratushny, who died defending his homeland, on his last journey in the battles near Izyum. Channel 5 reports this. – The fallen was a fighter of the 93rd OMB “Cold Ravine”. On July 5, Roman was supposed to turn 25 years old. However, Russia took his life in battle. Heroes do not die, the message says. The memorial service was held in St. Michael's Cathedral, and the farewell ceremony was held on Independence Square. The fighter will be buried at the Baykove cemetery in Kyiv. According to Hromadske, at the farewell ceremony, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, promised to leave Protasov Yar as a green zone in memory of Roman Ratushny, who during his lifetime fought against the development of this territory.< /p> – He was quite active in defending the interests of green areas. Protasov Yar was his project. I can say that in memory of Roman, we will do everything to defend Protasov Yar so that it remains a green recreation area for the people of Kiev. Also, the mayor of the capital stressed that the local authorities support the renaming of one of the streets of the city in honor of Roman Ratushny. We are talking about the street Volgograd Solomensky district. We are talking about a 24-year-old resident of Kiev, Roman Ratushny, known in the capital as a public activist. He repeatedly advocated the preservation of Protasov Yar, and his father, Taras Ratushny, fought for the “preservation of old Kyiv.” From the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Ratushny took part in the battles near Kyiv, and then, as part of the 930th Specialized Brigade “Cold Yar”, liberated Trostyanets, fought in the Sumy region and near Izyum.
