In the Kherson region, four policemen from the Cherkasy region were blown up and killed by enemy mines. This was reported by the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko.

«In the Kherson region, during the stabilization measures on a cascade of enemy mines, the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy region Mikhail Kuratchenko, explosives specialist Igor Melnik, dog handler Serhiy Nenada and assistant on duty of the SRPP of the Uman district police department Vadym Perizhok were blown up», &#8212 ; the message says.

According to the press service of the National Police, the policemen of the Cherkasy region served as part of a combined detachment in the Kherson region. On the de-occupied territory, they carried out stabilization measures: they documented the crimes of Russian military personnel, discovered places of burial, detention and torture of people, exposed collaborators, confiscated weapons and ammunition, cleared enemy settlements and positions from mines.

The head of the combined detachment was the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region, Mikhail Kuratchenko, who always traveled to dangerous locations with the police, took part in the most difficult operations.

It is noted that today the police went on another task to check information of local people about the cache left by the invaders. A specialized task force, a dog handler and an explosives specialist led by Mikhail Kuratchenko arrived at the place where the enemy positions used to be, near the village of Fedorovka.

They seized ammunition, explosives and weapons for destruction. Already returning, the police fell into a mine trap of the invaders, which set off a buried land mine made from ammunition for large-caliber artillery. Three policemen died on the spot, one died in the hospital. Doctors are fighting for the lives of four more policemen.
