It is reported that the fire broke out at about 10:40 am in a dugout near the village of Ulanok in the Sudzhansky district. There were seven people inside. One soldier survived — he got burned. According to media reports, during the fire, ammunition stored in the dugout detonated.
It is also reported that the fire started when one of the servicemen splashed gasoline into the stove that was used to heat the dugout. The death of six conscripts was recognized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
