ISW: Russia may face collapse near Liman

RF does not react to the current losses of the Russians near Liman and is not preparing for a collapse in this sector of the front. This is reported by the American Institute for the Study of War.

Analysts assume that the collapse of the Liman pocket will have serious consequences for the Russian group in the north of Donetsk and the western part of the Lugansk region and may allow Ukrainian troops to threaten Russian positions along the western border of the Luhansk region and in the Severodonetsk-Lysichansk sector.

Moreover, the Russian Defense Ministry does not react to the current losses of Russians near Liman and is not preparing for a collapse in this sector of the front. This may further lower the morale of the Russian occupiers.

At the same time, it was noted that the Russian authorities continue to send newly mobilized and insufficiently trained recruits to supposedly reinforce the very «degraded remnants of various units», including units that were previously considered the main fighting forces of Russia.
