ISW: Russian use of Iranian drones will not affect the course of the war

< p> The use of Iranian kamikaze drones by the Russian occupation forces does not lead to effects similar to the use of American HIMARS systems by Ukraine. This is reported by the American Institute for the Study of War.

Analysts note that Iranian Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 drones are unlikely to significantly affect the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war. They draw attention to the fact that the occupiers used these weapons against civilian targets in the rear, probably hoping to create non-linear effects through terror.

«Russian forces probably used a non-trivial percentage of supplies Shahed-136 so far, if statements by an anonymous US intelligence official at the end of August were correct that Iran would likely provide the «hundred» Russian drones», the analysts added.
