Johnson in Kyiv declared the impossibility of compromises with Putin

During the second visit to Kyiv since the beginning of a full-scale war, the British Prime Minister declared the impossibility of any compromises of the Ukrainian people from Russia. He said this at a briefing after a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

– Ukraine is suffering, the Ukrainian military is suffering, but there are all signs and evidence that the Russian troops are under significant pressure, suffer heavy losses, and spend their armament. In 114 days of attacking Ukraine, they still have not achieved the goals they set for themselves for the first week, the Prime Minister said.

The UK wants to provide Ukraine with strategic endurance, therefore it will strengthen the global diplomatic coalition in support of our of the state and will work on strengthening sanctions against the regime of Vladimir Putin.

– I understand the need to continue financial support for Ukraine, unblocking grain exports, which Putin has taken hostage in an attempt to deprive the world of food. The UK is ready to continue to provide Ukraine with weapons, to organize the training of the military for their use. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to do what the Ukrainians really want to do, namely, to expel the aggressor from Ukraine,” Boris Johnson concluded.

The Prime Minister was supposed to attend a big summit in Doncaster, but refused to last minute. This is Johnson's second visit to Ukraine since the start of a full-scale Russian invasion. In April, the head of the British government became the first leader of the G7 country to visit Kyiv during the war with the Russian Federation.
