Klimenko told how many people who wanted to join the “Offensive Guard”

Starting around February 28,000 volunteers applied to join the «Offensive Guard». To date, almost all divisions have already been formed. Interior Minister Igor Klymenko spoke about this on the air of the telethon.

«We have already received 28,000 applications from volunteers. First of all, applications went through the Centers for the provision of administrative services and through the website. Of course, not everyone gets into these divisions, because the selection is quite tough. We have already begun training almost all units at the training grounds of our country, and not everyone can withstand it there,” Klymenko said.

He also stressed that lists of reservists are being formed.

«Training will continue as long as necessary to get combat-ready units of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the National Police, which are all now called the «Offensive Guard». Divisions are basically formed. We are already recruiting additional volunteers to have a reserve for the future», — added the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
