Lithuania will give Ukraine 36 air defense systems to shoot down drones
Lithuania will give Ukraine 36 anti-aircraft missile systems to counter drones. This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anushauskas at a joint briefing by the Ministers of Defense of Lithuania and Ukraine, which was broadcast by Media Center Ukraine.
«We have already completed the training of 15 instructors who will be ready to work on territory of Ukraine and train Ukrainian soldiers. We also provide Ukraine with 36 anti-aircraft missile systems. This equipment can effectively shoot down drones,” Anusauskas said.
He noted that Lithuania would do everything for Ukraine to win the war.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov stressed that the parties decided to train not the operators of these air defense systems, but instructors who will be able to train the next crews in Ukraine. This is an important training upgrade, he said.
- Lithuania bought a marine drone for Ukraine with $250,000 previously raised.
