CCN presents initiative to support pork producers
The general director of Livestock, Geovanny Antonio Molina, said that this entity is in a process of regulating the classic swine sale at the national level, which is why vaccinations to pigs and other animals for consumption in the country are increasing.
Molina commented that new diseases that could affect the consumption of this meat are also being monitored over other diseases that are harming Dominicans.
Regarding the producers of the field, he reported that in these months there has been good rain in the most critical areas, although there is a drought in the South and Northwest of the country.
For this reason, he indicated that they are in direct contact with the farmers.
The official spoke during the presentation by the National Cuesta Center of its initiative to support national production with “El Criollo de Origen Nacional”, a 100% Dominican fresh pork product, which seeks to give priority to local consumption and not only give importance to imports.
Under this support to pork producers in the country, the company hopes to contribute to the sustainability of the entire value chain, starting with the swine genetics programs that are led by the Biogenetik company for more than 10 years, through breeding from the pigs to the Agro CCN meat processing plant, as well as ensuring compliance with high standards in quality control throughout the process.
