Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda promised to help restore a kindergarten in her native Irpen, destroyed by the Russian military. The artist wrote about this on her Instagram.

– After the outbreak of the war, I made an important decision for myself, to the best of my ability, to help the people of my native country and my native city. I love children and I have children. When I asked what I could do for the children of Irpin, Mayor Alexander Markushin showed me the kindergarten destroyed by the occupiers and the project for its restoration. I immediately agreed to take part in this. We will do our best so that the kindergarten opens its doors as soon as possible and only children's laughter can be heard from the windows, – wrote Loboda.

The singer noted that she had already made her first contribution to the restoration of the kindergarten in the amount of 3 million hryvnia. She also called on all Ukrainians to join the initiative.

– Thanks to the mayor and residents of Irpin for trusting me. Our task is to restore the kindergarten and everything that was destroyed in our city in memory of those who fight and those who gave their lives for Ukraine. Together with the team, we will help the city in this matter, and for my part, I made the first contribution of 3,000,000 hryvnias. And I urge everyone who can to join us!, – Loboda emphasized.

After a trip to Irpen, the singer admitted that she did not recognize her hometown, because instead of a green, beautiful, young settlement, she saw ruins, abandoned by the Russian army.

Svetlana Loboda is originally from Ukraine, but in recent years she has lived and worked in Russia. In late February, she publicly called on Russia to “stop the horror” that is happening in Ukraine. For the first time, the artist called what was happening a war and openly announced the Russian attack on Ukraine. After that, the singer was banned from entering the territory of the Russian Federation. Now Loboda is engaged in volunteering – helping Ukrainian refugees who have found temporary shelter abroad. ” alt=”Loboda transferred 3 million hryvnias to restore a kindergarten in Irpin” />
