Longueuil: Police believe teenage abuser has other victims

Styve Chouinard is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference.

Police believe man suspected of sex crimes against teen 13 years old could have other victims and she invites these people or their relatives to come forward.

The Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) reports that on July 13, Styve Chouinard, a 30-year-old man, was arrested. Police believe he had befriended the young teenager after tricking the boy's mother into thinking he was 16 himself.

The police add that he would then have taken advantage of this rapprochement to sexually assault the teenager on multiple occasions in Longueuil between June 25 and July 8 of this year.< /p>

Styve Chouinard appeared on July 14 in the Criminal Division of the Longueuil courthouse, where he was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, incitement sexual interference and breaking a restraining order for a person under the age of 16.

Anyone holding x27;information about Styve Chouinard or who has been a victim of it is invited to communicate with the SPAL, which ensures that all calls will be treated confidentially.

The police report that the susp ect was recently domiciled in Longueuil and Saint-Césaire, in Montérégie.
