The man and woman headed to a Couche-Tard convenience store after she stabbed him.
A man was stabbed by a woman on the night of Wednesday to Thursday near the Atwater metro station in the Sud-Ouest borough of Montreal. His life is not in danger.
A call was made to emergency services at approximately 3:20 a.m. Thursday to report the presence of a man bloodied near a Couche-Tard convenience store at the corner of Atwater Avenue and Saint-Jacques Street.
Stabbed near the metro, on the side of rue Saint-Jacques, the 31-year-old man then took refuge near the business.
The man went to a convenience store after the attack.
His attacker, a 40-year-old woman, took him followed. This is where the two individuals were located by officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The man, who was injured in the upper body by a sharp object, was taken to a hospital where the nursing staff determined that her life was not in danger.
The woman was arrested and will be questioned later Thursday by the police, according to information provided by agent Véronique Comtois, of the SPVM media relations department.
A security perimeter protects the scene so that the investigators can analyze it, also specified the agent Comtois.
