The husband of the TV presenter Yegor Sobolev stopped communicating with his parents who live in the Russian Federation after he saw with his own eyes the atrocities of the Russian army in Irpen. Sobolev is a member of the defense system and participated in the cleansing of the city after it was liberated from Russian invaders. The presenter told stories that her eldest son Mikhail has been in Kyiv since May and has been training with his football team. Daughter Maria is still in Zhovkva, Lviv region, and the youngest Katya went to her mother's friends in France. Marichka herself left Ukraine for the first time since the beginning of the war in June. The journalist flew to New York to participate in a charity concert in support of Ukraine at Times Square.
