Media: Self-propelled howitzers that Germany handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are disabled
Germany delivered 14 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, but due to an error in planning the order of spare parts, the efficiency of the howitzers was in jeopardy. BILD writes about this.
The Federal Ministry of Defense was unable to order spare parts kits in time for the regular repair of weapons systems. Most of the artillery supplied by Germany is already in need of repair due to intensive use at the front.
In the meantime, six German howitzers were delivered to Lithuania for technical repairs. But since there were no spare parts, the technicians had to dismantle one of the howitzers.
- Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Valdemaras Rupshis will propose to the State Defense Council not to transfer PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers and NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine.
