Media: The losses of the invaders near Bakhmut may give the Armed Forces of Ukraine a chance to launch a counteroffensive

Attempts by the Russian occupation forces to seize Bakhmut in the Donetsk region are leading to their exhaustion, which may give Ukrainian fighters a chance for a new counteroffensive. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing a source in one of the Western defense departments.

According to him, the invaders suffered huge losses in the Bakhmut area, while receiving only minor tactical success. The interlocutor of the publication recalled a similar mistake of the Russians in the summer of 2022 in Severodonetsk. This opened up new opportunities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction and for other military successes.
