Poland may transfer modernized Soviet-style MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine within a month and a half at the most. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, answering a question at a press conference about the words of President Andrzej Duda on this topic.

«This can happen within four to six weeks» , – said Morawiecki, without going into details.

On March 8, in an interview with CNN, Duda said that Warsaw was ready to transfer its fighter jets to Ukraine as part of an international coalition.

«We are ready to deliver these planes, and I am sure that Ukraine will be ready to use them immediately», — he said.

  • Speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat said that Ukraine needs modern fighters to fight the corrected (guided) aerial bombs that Russia has begun to use at the front.
