More than 90% of Luhansk region is under temporary occupation of Russia
Most of the territory of the Lugansk region is under the temporary control of the Russian military. This is about 90% of the region. This was stated in his Telegram channel by the head of the regional state administration Sergei Gaidai. Today, unfortunately, more than 90% of the territory of the Luhansk region is temporarily occupied by Russia. Now the fighting is going on in Severodonetsk, Lisichansk is completely under the control of the Ukrainian side, part of the Mountain community is also under the control of the Ukrainian authorities, – said Gaidai. According to him, fierce battles continue in Severodonetsk throughout the city, including Industrial zone. At the same time, he denied the information about the allegedly second “Azovstal” in the Industrial Zone. – As for the Industrial Zone, our defenders are holding it, but the battles are not just in the Industrial Zone, but in the city of Severodonetsk, most of which is controlled Russians. But it’s not like it happened in Mariupol, when the battles went directly on the territory of Azovstal. The Russians are shelling everything – both houses and the Industrial Zone, but the battles are going on in Severodonetsk, – he stressed. As Gaidai noted , Lisichansk is completely under Ukrainian control, but the Russians are shelling the city chaotically with great force. A large number of houses, hospitals and institutions were destroyed there. The official also said that at the moment there is no threat of cordoning off our troops in the Luhansk region – the situation is difficult, but controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
