Russian journalist Alexander Nevzorov said he would not be offended if he did not receive a Ukrainian passport. He stated this on June 8 on the air of the Popular Politics YouTube channel. – Even if for some reason this does not take place, I will not be offended, because this is a matter of life. It is impossible to be offended by Ukraine. In any case, I will not leave Ukraine. We can put an end to this, – said Nevzorov. The journalist did not answer whether he received Ukrainian citizenship. He noted that he has a certain document, but such things should be announced in Kyiv. – I have … a document, but I believe that now it would be incorrect, I don’t know what is happening in their depths … I know that, as always, frenzied passions are about me, – he said. Oleksandr Nevzorov explained his desire to get a passport of Ukraine by “admiration for Ukraine”. – As for why I need this, probably in order to somehow document my affection and admiration for Ukraine, without which none of us can live now. Nevzorov said that he was not very interested in what they say about him in Ukraine. The publicist explained his position until 2014 by saying that he did not think that fascism would come out of a test tube, which the world received after World War II. On June 3, Russian Telegram channels reported that Alexander Nevzorov and his wife received Ukrainian citizenship. On June 6, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he did not remember all the people whose citizenship he had signed. At the same time, he said that the journalist is for Ukraine and Russia should be “rocked” together with its citizens. On the same day, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that Nevzorov did not receive Ukrainian citizenship, but only applied for it.
