Now 6 people charged with the murder of Joedin Leger in Moncton

A sixth man was charged on Wednesday in connection with the death of an 18-year-old at a residence on Logan Street in Moncton on April 25.

Joedin Leger was found shot and injured in the home , but later succumbed to his injuries.

In all, six people are charged with first degree murder in this case.

The most recent accused is Nicholas Joseph James McAvoy, of Irishtown, who was arrested on Wednesday. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Thursday.

He is in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 25.

The other accused are Riley Robert Sheldon Phillips, 18, Hunter Nash England, 20, Jerek John England, 23, Hayden Joseph James LeBlanc, 18, and another man 18 who cannot be named as he was a minor at the time.
