On December 31, the Russians launched rockets from the Caspian Sea for the first time

During the missile attack on December 31, the Russians used launch vehicles from the Caspian Sea for the first time. This was announced by the head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine Natalya Gumenyuk on the air of the telethon.

«Typical for yesterday's rocket attack was that rocket carriers from the Caspian were used. This was the first time during the period of a full-scale invasion was recorded. Probably, it is already more difficult for them (Russians – ed.) to deliver supplies to the Black Sea coast. This suggests that we are quite successful in keeping logistics on the left bank under fire control, among other things», — Gumenyuk noted.

She added that in the Black Sea now the enemy ship grouping has decreased to 5 units, and the missile carriers are at the bases.

At the same time, she does not ruled out that the Russians would continue to use drones from the south, noting that the Russians do not need as much time between kamikaze drone attacks as between missile attacks.

«Time from one attacks to the other they use to collect data for the selection of coordinates, orienting their killer direction. Now the need to hush up the results of missile strikes is becoming more acute, because it is very difficult for them to collect information on intelligence data», — Gumenyuk emphasized.

Therefore, she urged not to disclose details about the consequences of enemy strikes on critical infrastructure.
