OP: Zaluzhny and Syrsky declared the need to continue the defense of Bakhmut

< p> The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops “Khortitsa” Alexander Syrsky believe that the defense of the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region should be continued. The corresponding decision was made following the results of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander.

It is reported that Zaluzhny and Syrsky spoke in favor of continuing the defense operation and further strengthening Ukrainian positions in Bakhmut.

In addition, at the meeting of the Headquarters there were the issues of the supply of weapons and equipment and their distribution in operational areas were considered.

• Bild reported that Zaluzhny and Zelensky had disagreements because of Bakhmut. Interlocutors of the publication in Kiev claimed that several weeks ago Zaluzhny recommended to think about leaving Bakhmut for tactical reasons.
• According to Western generals, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to keep Bakhmut.
