
Parliament calls on EU to grant Ukraine candidate status
The Verkhovna Rada supported the appeal to the countries of the European Union, in which it asks to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate for membership in EU. Earlier, the Netherlands and Denmark joined Ukraine to the bloc, but today both countries have changed their positions. On June 17, the European Commission recommended granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union. According to the Commission, Ukraine has clearly demonstrated the desire and determination to live by European values and standards.
